Barbed and Push Lock Hose Fittings

Barbed and Push Lock fittings are easy to use and are another type of reusable hose end. No special tools or clamps are required to install push lock or barbed fittings. To install the fitting, simply lubricate the fitting with a light oil or soapy water, and then insert the fitting into the hose until the barb is inside the hose. Next, place the end fitting against a flat object, such as a wall, grip the hose about one inch from the end, and push with steady pressure until the end of the hose bottoms on the fitting and is covered by the plastic cap. Barbed and push lock hose fittings are ideally suited for low pressure applications, and are normally rated for 250 or lower psi.
