JIC Fittings

JIC fittings are a flare fitting with a 37° seat. When a male fitting and female fitting are mated, a mechanical seal is formed on the cone seat. JIC adapters are identical to AN (Army-Navy) fittings, but are produced to less exacting tolerances and are generally less expensive. While JIC fittings are visually similar to SAE fittings, they are not interchangeable as JIC fittings have a 37° flare and SAE fittings have a 45° flare.

JIC adapters are ideal for use in the agricultural, instrumentation, and chemical processing industries, as well as most high pressure hydraulic applications. Most JIC fittings are rated for up to 5000 psi.
